Chiefs’ LB Willie Gay Injury Update & Game Status from Super Bowl LV

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay suffered a high ankle sprain early on in the Week 17 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. He has been out ever since, but was back at practice this week. However, during Thursday’s practice, according to multiple reports Willie tore his meniscus, had emergency surgery and will miss Super Bowl LV. Willie was starting to flash the potential we had all heard about when he was selected in the 2nd round of the 2020 draft. While this is a sad end to his rookie season, he has a very promising future ahead.
