Orioles 4, Astros 3 : Holiday Style

Chris Carter blooped a 2-run single to right in the 5th to give Houston the lead, the Orioles once 2-0 lead was gone & they were running out of time for another rally.

Now Trailing 3-2 in the 7th inning, it looked like they were gonna let another game slip away from their clutches.  Delmon Young had just led off the inning w/ a single. Then Steve Pearce stepped to the plate & possibly changed the Orioles season in one swing. Pearce rockets a line drive 2-run homer (#5) over the wall in right to put the Orioles ahead to stay. Young also led off w/ a single in the 2nd & scored on Caleb Joseph’s 2-run shot to left (#4). George Springer homers (#7) in the 5th off of Baltimore starter Wei-Yin Chen. Zach Britton works a 1-2-3 9th inning for his 11th Save. The Orioles give Dallas Keuchel his first loss of the year & get a huge win on Memorial Day. Baltimore now some positive momentum to build on, and  it is time for them to make a surge in the AL East.
