Chris Davis doubled home the go ahead run in the 1st inning against White Sox Pitcher Chris Beck, who was making his ML debut.
Beck allowed 5 runs on 10 hits, as the Orioles pounded him, he left the game after 6. Travis Snider, Steve Clevenger, Ryan Flaherty and David Lough each had two hits. Mike Wright allowed his first runs in three starts, allowing two homeruns, but still picked up the win. Adam Eaton took Wright deep (#2) in the 1st, Eaton’s first ever lead off HR. Adam LaRoche hit a 2-run shot(#5) off of Wright in the 3rd to give Chicago the lead. The Orioles rallied, an RBI single by Clevenger and an infield RBI single by J.J. Hardy in the 3rd and another RBI single by Snider in the 6th, make it 5-3. Lough’s infield single in the 7th made it 6-3. Mike Wright earned his 2nd win in 3 starts, Zach Britton picks up another Save and the Orioles split the doubleheader with the Chicago White Sox. Tampa Bay is up next.
