Friday, KC’s Draft truly begins. Who fits?


The first round of the 2016 NFL Draft came and went, with Kansas City opting to trade out to accumulate ammunition for the remaining 6 rounds. GM John Dorsey pulled the trigger on a savvy move, trading the Chiefs’ pick 28 and 248 to San Francisco for their picks 37, 105, and 178. Recouping picks was smart after losing out on their 3rd round pick due to Commissioner Roger Goodell running a sting operation, er, disciplining KC for tampering in their signing of WR Jeremy Maclin last offseason.

Kansas City Chiefs free agency update

As the annual opening of the NFL’s free agency draws near, 3 PM is when clubs can officially sign new blood. The Kansas City Chiefs enter a pivotal off-season, one that could push them above expectations or take the wind out of their sails. In a year in which the salary cap rose once again it looks to be a year in flux contract-wise, as teams have more money than ever to dole out. It will be difficult to marry value and need for a lot of teams this free agency.

Stedman Bailey remains hospitalized after shooting

Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey was involved in a shooting incident on Tuesday night, according to a release from the Miami Gardens Police Department in Florida. Bailey was reportedly sitting in a car with family, when someone pulled up and started shooting, via NFL Network.
